Per Wilberg of progressive metallers Opeth has been relieved of his duties according to the band. The decision was mutual apparently and the band is already rehearsing with a replacement for their upcoming tour dates. Said frontman Mikael Akerfeldt:
“Well, it's been somewhat of a revolving door of members during the last couple of years, and now Per is no longer a member.”
He went on to say there was no bad blood between them and they wish Per the best.
Opeth's tenth studio album is due this fall on Roadrunner Records.
