More details released for Eddie Trunk's upcoming book.
Publishing house Abrams has released more details about the upcoming book “Eddie Trunk's Essential Hard Rock and Heavy Metal”. Trunk is well known as the host of VH1 Classic's hit program “That Metal Show” as well as his shows on Sirius Satellite radio and his syndicated Friday Night rocks show as well. The book, which contains a forward written by no less than “The Metal God” Rob Halford covers Eddie's favorite bands in rock and metal with a brief overview of each bands' career. He details all of the crucial albums, important songs and adds Eddie's own one-of-a-kind anecdotes and memories of his career in music.
New jersey born, Trunk got his start in radio at WDHA-FM before beginning his career in the music business at Megaforce Records during the First Wave of American Thrash Metal. Eddie contributed to such iconic bands successes as Anthrax, Overkill, King's X, Metallica, Raven, helped revive Ace Frehley's solo career after Kiss as well as supporting and promoting tons of underground bands. In addition to his TV and radio work Eddie is an expert on all things in metal history, runs his website, writes liner notes for bands and still a sought after MC at many New York and New Jersey rock and metal events.

Kiss''s Gene Simmons On Original Band Reunion: "There Will Be One More Time That We Will Play Together"
Kiss bassist Gene Simmons was interviewed by 105.7. Here are a few excerpts from the interview:
Simmons on new album: "The new record, which we already started working on - we start recording in three weeks - is going to be the next step to Sonic Boom. Very similar, straight rock songs, no ballads, no keyboards, no nothing, just rock. We have brand new songs that we've been writing. We've been writing a lot and there's some very good material and that's what we are going to record. A lot of the songs have been written by the whole band together, so no outside writers, just the band doing what it did on the first three records; write the songs ourselves. Once you know who you are are and how you breath - because every song is like an animal - you try to bring life to the song so it becomes real. Once you know who you are, it's easy to do - just do what the animal does without thinking about what's popular, what a producer would do. You just do it like you would naturally do it. We have almost all the songs written. In fact we have too many songs; about 20-25 things that look and sound good. It's a very busy time, but the album is going to take precedence."
Simmons on a reunion with the original band members: "There will be one more time that we will play together. Some time in the future there will be a last show. Sometime in the future we'll be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. There will be one more time when we do it together to honour the beginning. But you know when you run a long-distance race, not everyone can run a long race. Some people are only good for the beginning of the race. They don't have the passion and the will, the endurance. Not everyone can run a long distance race."
The interview with Gene Simmons will air on Metal Messiah Radio this Wednesday, March 16th after 6PM EST. For more info visit Metalmessiahradio.com.

Kiss vocalist Paul Stanley on second original member reunion: "I think one was enough"
Kiss vocalist Paul Stanley was a guest on CNN’s Connect The World With Becky Anderson on Wednesday, and while taking questions from fans, was asked about the possibility of a second original KISS reunion.
“I think one was enough,” said Stanley. “When we did it, we did it for the right reasons. It was interesting because the word that comes up is ‘closure.’ You get a chance to go back and revisit relationships and see if they’ve changed at all. For the most part, sadly, you find that they remain as they were.”
“We had a good time that kind of deteriorated over time,” continued Paul, “and when we did the farewell tour, I realized that I didn’t want to say farewell to KISS, I wanted to say farewell to two of the members.”
“It’s been quite a while and a huge success without them,” ended Paul. “KISS is iconic, at this point, and those characters are much bigger than the people behind them.”
