Puscifer to release new album in October. Tour to follow.

PUSCIFER, the project ringleader Maynard James Keenan describes as "'Twin Peaks' in the desert," will release "Conditions Of My Parole" on October 18 via Puscifer Entertainment.

"Man Overboard", the first single from the album, will be available viaiTunes and other digital service providers on July 19.

"The Verde Valley is an intrinsic part of what PUSCIFER is," explainsKeenan. "It's equal parts 'Twilight Zone', 'Mayberry' and 'Road Warrior'. The ghosts and aliens, Republicans and Democrats, cowboys and artists living side by side with hostile creatures such as scorpions, spiders, rattlesnakes, javelina and hippies are just a few of the spicy ingredients that give 'Conditions Of My Parole' its unique flavor."

"Conditions Of My Parole" was recorded in Jerome, Arizona this spring with tracking done amidst the wine barrels from Keenan's Caduceus Cellars. The album was produced by Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Josh Eustis. Contributing musicians for the new album include the aforementioned Keenan, Mitchell, and Eustis as well as Carina Round,Juliette Commagere, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Freidl, Gil and Rani Sharone, Jonny Polonsky, Tim Alexander, Devo Keenan, Alessandro Cortini, Sarah Jones, and Jon Theodore.

PUSCIFER's debut album, the infamously censored "V is for V*****"(2007), charted on both the rock and dance singles charts simultaneously (the full album at #9 on the Billboard Rock Album and "C*ntry Boner" at #1 on Billboard's Dance Singles Chart). "V is for V*****" entered The Billboard 200 at #25. The band turned multimedia troupe carried outKeenan's vision of an evening that seamlessly combined music, recorded skits and live character sketches over two U.S. tours which were described as an "X-rated episode of 'Hee-Haw'" (Spin) and "a performance art spectacle equal parts comedy cabaret show and guerilla theater" (Las Vegas Review-Journal). Keenan has often stated in interviews that his concept for PUSCIFER required nearly two decades to pass before the technology was available to create the live performance.

A North American tour kicks off in early November, with more information to come.

Josh Freese sitting out A Perfect Circle's summer dates.

Blabbermouth.net is reporting that session drummer supreme Josh Freese will sit out A PERFECT CIRCLE's live shows this summer due to his touring commitments with WEEZER. Sitting behind the kit for A PERFECT CIRCLE's upcoming dates will be Jeff Friedl (ASHES DIVIDE, DEVO).

A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel told FreeGotham.com in a recent interview that the band now has definite plans to record a new album, saying, "[It is] in the works, but not for this summer. I think the idea was to try and get the juices flowing a bit and get back into [A PERFECT CIRCLE] mode a bit and go from there. See what happens in the New Year. We have intentions of recording new material."

As for whether any new tunes will be previewed on the band's upcoming tour, Howerdel said, "We are gonna hear at least a song, I would say. One of them is very, very close to being done. And from there, things could come together once we get on the road and start hashing through some of the other ideas and they could quickly become a song and find their way onto the live stage."

A PERFECT CIRCLE is touring North America for the first time in six years this summer. The tour kicked off with a May 22 headlining appearance at the Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, before the main schedule begins on June 29 in Portland, Oregon.

These will be the band's first live dates since a mini-tour they did last fall, in which they played each of their three studio albums over the course of three nights in five cities.

A Perfect Circle leader claims “band will record again” as soon as he can find a studio.

Resurrected supergroup A Perfect Circle along with preparation for some festival appearances this year has written a few new songs. Band leader Billy Howedel said in an interview with The Pulse of Radio that he would get more done if he had a place to work:

“I kind of had the biggest void of writing in the past few years I've ever had. I don't really have a great place to work. I had a house with a studio and sold that, and so I don't have this readily available studio. And it's the worst reason in the world to not be doing it, but we're basically an unsigned band, we can kind of do what we want and put it out how we want and we can kind of turn it around pretty quickly....that is if I find a place to start working.”

A Perfect Circle came out of a six year hiatus last fall to tour and is going to perform at The Rock On the Range Festival May-21-22 in Columbus, OH. The band is also going to co-headline The Edgefest in Toronto July 9th.

The band also includes singer Maynard James Keenan (Tool/Puscifer), James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins), Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, The Descendants) and Matt McJunkins (Ashes Divide, Puscifer).
