Van Halen have officially began recording a new album witb David Lee Roth on vocals and grammy award winning producer John Shanks. The album is slated for a 2011 release.
The band will record their first all-new studio album since 1998's Van Halen III and their first with original singer David Lee Roth since 1983's 1984.
Producer Ross Hogarth was rumored to have produced several tracks with the band that had other musicians in awe when they heard the material. This was denied by the Van Halen camp yet Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 was one of a handful of musicians giving kudos the new music he claimed to have heard.
