Max Cavalera and the The Dillinger Escape Plan singer create new thrash project.

As reported first on Greg Puciato's Facebook fan page and then www.SkullsandBones.com he is teaming up with Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Nailbomb) on a new thrash based project. The two worked together most recently collaborating on the track “Rise of The Fallen” from last years Omen album by Soulfly. Puciato has said recently of the pairing that it would be similar to Max's most underground side project the industrial flavored band Nailbomb, but also be thrashy.

Puciato as the lead vocalist for DEP since 2002 has scaled the heights of modern metal. Last year's Option Paralysis record was on nearly every critic and bloggers top 20 for 2010. In addition to his own impressive, experimental work Greg is a frequent guest collaborator both live and on record for many metal acts.

Max is a metal hero to many founding Sepultura in Belo Horizonte, Brazil as a teen in the mid 1980's with his brother Igor. With their thrash riffs, punk sensibilities and political lyrics they went on to create many classic albums including Schizophrenia, Beneath The Remains, Arise, Chaos AD and Roots. Then after splitting with the band he founded he has led Soulfly since 1998 as well as his many side projects. Cavalera Conspiracy (with Igor) has a new album, Blunt Force Trauma coming out on March 29th.
