Life of Agony/Ex Type O Negative drummer's new band signs with SPV.

SPV Records has announced the signing of A Pale Horse Named Death, the new Brooklyn based band led by Sal Abruscato drummer of Life of Agony and formerly of Type o Negative. SPV will release the band's debut album June. Abruscato said of the signing:

“I am so stoked about joining SPV, I'm looking forward to a fruitful and successful relationship with such a reputable label as SPV.”

The bands' blend of doom metal and classic rock influences makes for some catchy songs that makes sense with their lineup of New York metal luminaries. Abruscato sings and plays guitar in the band, but wrote and played all of the instruments on the recording along with guitarist/co-producer Matt Brown (Seventh Void). Guest on the album are Bobby Hambel (Biohazard), Keith Caputo (Life of Agony) and Ulrich Krieger (Lou Reed).
