The initial lineup has been released for the annual Trois-Rivieres Metalfest this October. Cavalera Conspiracy and Napalm Death are among the confirmed headliners with several more bands to be announced soon. Taking place on Friday October 14th and Saturday October 15th 2011 once again at the Batisse Industrielle Complex. Also appearing on the bill so far are Beneath The Massacre, L'Espirit Du Clan, Kalter and Insurrection. Past Luminaries of the festival include Cannibal Corpse, Despise Icon, Voivod, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, Krisiun, A Perfect Murder, Neuraxis, Misery Index and others.
The fest is in its elveventh year of bringing the best metal bands from both Canada and across the globe representing many styles. The scenic, low-key town less than two hours from Quebec City, Quebec and easy to navigate and enjoy. I attended the fest myself a few years back and it is one of the best run, most fun metal festivals in all of North America.
