OTEP to announce first tour in support of new album.

On the heels of the acclaimed and just released new album Atavist (Victory Records), Otep is about to announce a tour. An update on the bands' page at the Eventful web service lists an new string of dates from the end of May through the end of June. The official confirmation of all venues and dates is yet to come, but three (6/3 in Columbus, 6/4 in Detroit and 6/11 in Poughkeepsie) are official. No word yet on who will be the new live band for Otep which recorded their new record with all guest writers and musicians like drummer Gil Sharone (The Dillinger Escape Plan/Puscifer), guitarist Rani Sharone (Puscifer), guitarist Markus Estrada, bassist Tony Campos (Static-X/Prong/Ministry/Asesino) and bassist Collyn McCoy (Trash Titan). Support will come from their label mates in Blackguard, Sister Sin, Destrophy and others.
