All That Remains frontman speaks on attempt to land on the 2011 Uproar Festival

All That Remains frontman Phil LaBonte has spoken at length about the bands attempt to land on the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. According to LaBonte, All That Remains would likely have been positioned to be play before hardcore outfit Escape The Fate on the festival:
When asked by a fan via Facebook if All That Remains is taking part in this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival alongside rumored participating act ESCAPE THE FATE, Labonte wrote, “I have NO idea what the deal is with ESCAPE THE FATE but they must have WICKED powerful management.”

“We’ve sold probably five times the records they have, been around probably 10 years longer than they have, have four more records than they do, we have three songs that have charted in the Top 20 at radio, two of which have made the Top 10, they have none, and they STILL get preferential treatment over us. I don’t know what they sound like, I’ve never met them, but it sucks when a band [with] powerful management tries to use another band that has busted their ass for over 10 years as a footstool. Not cool.”

The 2011 Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival is expected to be announced on May 17th. We have been told that bands participating in this tour include:

Avenged Sevenfold
Seether
3 Days Grace
Bullet For My Valentine
Escape The Fate

Uproar 2011 Line Up Possibilities

This article has been updated with improved information. You can read about it by clicking HERE.

Since the Mayhem Festival is all but official we will be taking a look at other tours. It appears there will be an Uproar 2011 tour. Uproar is like a scaled down, hard rock version of Mayhem Fest. There are alot of potential candidates as far as bands go that could be on Uproar 2011. Here are a list of bands we think could be strong possibilities:

Korn
Slash
Rob Zombie
Shinedown
Staind
Deftones
Alter Bridge
Sevendust
Lacuna Coil
Drowning Pool
All That Remains
Times of Grace
36 Crazyfists

It should be noted that these are guesses. We have not heard any rumors nor do we have any inside info on the tour at this time. Common sense should tell you that only some of those bands would play Uproar.

Will there be an Uproar 2011 festival?

Fans have been asking us if there will be an Uproar 2011 festival. While there has been no official confirmation from tour organizers, the Uproar facebook page has been active as of late indicating their will likely be a second edition of the tour in 2011.

Now the question is what bands will comprise the bill on the hard rock festival? While there have not been any rumors surfacing on this subject we at the VDOB believe that one band rumored for last year that did not play could be in contention to land a spot on the festival.

Working on a new album for Century Media Records that should drop this summer, look for the return of Lacuna Coil. Uproar is more compatible tour for the italian rock band when compared the option of Mayhem.

Other potential candidates remain to be seen at this time. We will have an indepth look at the possible Uproar line up soon.
